Mathematicians on the OkCupid team studied a sample of 5,000 users to find out what kind of people get the most messages online. The results showed that good-looking people don't actually get that many messages, because most people think, "So many people must be writing to them, they probably won't write back to me." The people who got the most messages weren't flawlessly good-looking. They were the ones who looked just like themselves in their profile photos. Their main secret was simply being themselves. We all have our own weaknesses and strengths. Be confident that the things you see as weaknesses can sometimes make you more genuine, more alive and more unique in an online world full of "pretty, good-looking" people.
